For it is yours by right of ownership, being the offspring of your servant. It is yours by origin, because under the auspices of your illustrious ancestors, my music took its beginning and drew its growth. You, exalted Monarch, have given me courage; you have supplied the expenses; and by the most merciful nod of your kindness, it now comes forth into the light. Therefore, whatever benefit the studious youth shall take from it, the whole must be credited to YOUR MAJESTY. For this reason, you will not disdain to look with kind eyes upon that which is yours in every respect.
