We have either founded this sacred ART OF THE SCRIPT Scriptionis Artem: referring here to the "art" of constructing and reading mystical symbols rather than literal handwriting as something NEW for the first time: or we have, by its own instructions, recalled it from being utterly extinct and deleted from all human memory. This has been done by us in such a way that, most peacefully and as if of their own accord, all those hieroglyphic interpretations present themselves; nothing forced or improper can be seen throughout this entire little work.

And these things are thus signed with our LONDON SEAL OF HERMES original: "Londinensi Hermetis Sigillo"; this refers to the Monad symbol itself, which Dee, a Londoner, associates with Hermes/Mercury as the patron of alchemy and secret knowledge (for the everlasting memory of Men); so that in it, not one superfluous point exists; and for the signifying of those things we have mentioned (and far greater things), not one point is lacking; all will be compelled, most especially, to admit it is Rare. But above all others, those who can profess their own names in the deeper investigations of Philosophy and Wisdom will recognize this.
