In the Book of Revelation by John, the Word is described in its internal sense original: "Sensum Internum" as follows: “I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse; and he who sat upon it was called Faithful and True, and in justice he judges and fights. His eyes were a flame of fire; and on his head were many crowns; he had a name written, which no one knew but himself. And he was clothed in a garment dipped in blood; and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And he has on his garment and on his thigh a name written: King of Kings, and Lord of Lords” (Revelation 19:11, 12, 13, 14, 16).
No one can know what these individual details involve except from the internal sense. It is manifest that every single detail is representative and significant: namely, that heaven was opened; the horse which was white; he who sat upon it who was faithful and true, judging and fighting in justice; that his eyes were a flame of fire; that there were many crowns upon his head; that he had a name that no one knew but himself; that he was clothed in a garment dipped in blood; that the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses; that they were clothed in fine linen, white and clean; and that he had a name written upon his garment and upon his thigh.
