In our notes, P = the first edition original: edizione principe of 1587; A = The Works of Ramon Llull pertaining to the universal art invented by him, etc. original: Raymundi Lullii Opera ea quae ad adinventam ab ipso artem universalem etc. Ramon Llull (c. 1232–1316) was a philosopher whose "Universal Art" of logic deeply influenced Bruno.

of P, but writes promptly original: promte and wherever original: quocunque. As a rule, we do not note the

printing errors specific to A
