When God grants, envy prevails not,

original: "Θεοῦ διδόντος, οὐδὲν ἰσχύει φθόνος, Καὶ μὴ διδόντος, οὐδὲν ἰσχύει πόνος." This Greek couplet emphasizes divine providence over human effort or malice.
