To the right stands a personification of War, a man in Roman-style armor holding a sword and leaning on a shield, with a drum at his feet. The book's title is inscribed in the center of the arch in various script and capital styles. Below the title is a rectangular panel containing the publisher's information. At the very bottom, a wide frieze depicts a chaotic battle scene with cavalry and infantry outside a burning, fortified city.
