GIOVANNI MANARDI, Physician of Ferrara: 20 books of Medical Epistles, with annotations on the simple medicines of Joannes Mesue, and primarily those which were omitted by Mesue. Lyon, 1556, in folio; and also with Mesue.
GIOVANNI PONA, Apothecary of Verona: wrote a Catalog of simples growing on Mount Baldo, and added descriptions of some with 16 figures. Clusius joined it to his history of rare plants.
The same gave an enlarged edition and added descriptions of some plants observed by Honorio Belli in Crete, with 38 figures. Basel, 1608, 4to.
The same, enlarged, with many other exotic plants received from the most well-equipped garden of the most noble Venetian Senator Niccolò Contarini, with 91 figures added, translated into the Italian language by his son Francesco Pona, Doctor of Medicine. Venice, 1617, 4to.
