Presented (from the General ASSEMBLY in
the said Islands, convened together there, according
to the Laws of the said COMPANY) to
the King's Most Excellent Majesty.
With several Grievances, Petitions, and Papers;
as will more at large appear in the following Narrative,
showing the great oppressions the poor Inhabitants in the said Islands
do groan under, by the ARBITRARY GOVERNMENT of
the SOMER-ISLANDS COMPANY: The "Somer-Islands" was the official name for Bermuda at the time, named after Admiral Sir George Somers.
In all humility presented to the Honourable, the Knights,
Citizens, and Burgesses ASSEMBLED in PARLIAMENT,
craving from them to be relieved from the aforesaid and following
OPPRESSIONS.
