PART TWO.
An elaborate copperplate engraving serving as a vignette. It depicts a wide panoramic view of a coastal city and harbor, with a central scroll in the sky bearing the name "AMBOINA". In the harbor, numerous sailing vessels of various sizes are visible. The scene is flanked by two seated indigenous figures in the foreground: on the left, a woman holding a small child; on the right, a man resting against a rock and holding an oar or paddle. The entire illustration is bordered by decorative Rococo scrollwork intertwined with leafy branches and flowers.
