FOURTH VOLUME.
An ornate engraved vignette acting as a frontispiece emblem. It features a central rectangular frame depicting a coastal landscape of Amboina with several sailing vessels in the harbor and a settlement in the background. The word "AMBOINA" is inscribed in a decorative scroll at the top center of the border. The frame is surrounded by lush floral and leafy motifs. In the foreground, flanking the central scene, are two indigenous figures: on the left, a woman seated with a child, and on the right, a man seated holding a long spear or staff.
