The following describes the decorative title engraving: An ornate copperplate engraving featuring a central panoramic view of a harbor filled with various sailing vessels, representing Amboina. The view is framed by an elaborate rococo border of scrolls, shells, and foliage. At the top center of the frame is a cartouche containing the word "AMBOINA". The frame is flanked by two seated figures in local attire: on the left, a woman holding a leafy branch with fruit; on the right, a man holding a long paddle.
