Natural and Moral History of the Indies

I GONÇALO DAVILA, Provincial of the Society of Jesus in the Province of Toledo, by particular commission which I have for this purpose from Father Claudio Aquiviva, our General Superior, grant license for the book Natural and Moral History of the Indies, which Father Joseph de Acosta, a religious of the same Society, has composed, and which has been examined and approved by learned and grave persons of our Society, to be printed. In testimony of which, I have given this, signed with my name and sealed with the Seal of my office. In Alcala, the eleventh of April, 1589.
