and so that this book might be perfected, we have labored for the space of nearly two years, so that everyone and anyone who is to read and see it may place in it the same faith that he would have given if he himself had experienced the things written in it. Therefore, we swear according to our custom that everything contained in it is true. In faith of which, we have made these present pages which we have signed with our own hands.
