To all Christian people to whom these presents original: "p'sentes"; a formal legal term for the document itself shall come, know that I, William Walker, gentleman, son of Robert Walker, have given and granted original: "concessi" unto the said John Walker and Margaret his wife, and to the heirs of their bodies lawfully begotten, unto him a messuage original: "messuage"; a dwelling house with its adjacent buildings and lands land and the buildings thereon, and the premises original: "p'misses" belonging to them.
The land is bounded by the ground of John Locke on the south part original: "p'te" and [the ground of...] on the north part, and in length between the ground [of...] and the King’s street on the west part. And in the West Field, [the land lies] between the ground of James T... messuage and half acre of ground and the ground of Hugh Walker on the east part.
To have and [to hold the said] of half acre of ground and half acre original: "acr" of ground and their premises to the [said John and Margaret] of it was and the heirs of their bodies lawfully begotten of these aforementioned original: "pfate" lords. And we, the aforesaid John and Margaret, [shall hold the] messuage and half acre of ground and half acre of ground to the aforesaid John and Margaret and half acre of ground [and the heirs of their] body lawfully begotten forever, according to these presents.
