THE whole Universe has known until this day that from time immemorial Solomon possessed infused sciences Knowledge granted directly by God rather than through study. through the wise teachings of an Angel, to whom he appeared so submissive and obedient that, in addition to the Gift of Wisdom which he requested, he obtained all other virtues in profusion. This resulted in him—being, so to speak, near his end—leaving to his son Rehoboam a Testament which contained them all, so as not to bury with his body those Sciences which are worthy of eternal memory; and his son enjoyed them until his death. The Rabbis who after him were careful to cultivate them, named this Testament the Key of Solomon original: "Clavicule," from the Latin 'Clavicula' meaning a small key., which they had engraved on the bark of trees, and the Pentacles Talismans or magical diagrams, often circular, used in ritual practice. on copper plates in Hebrew Letters, to be carefully preserved in the Temple that this wise man had
