There are, besides this, times reserved for the invocation of these Spirits: days and hours during which they possess strength and absolute empire. It is for this reason that you will see hereafter in the Table that follows which Planet and which angel each day and hour are subject to, together with the colors that suit them, the metals, herbs, plants, aquatic, aerial, and terrestrial animals, and the incenses that suit them; as also in which part of the world they require to be invoked, without omitting the conjurations, Seals, Characters, and Divine Letters Sacred alphabets or symbols used to command spirits that suit them, by which one receives the power to harmonize with these Spirits.

    To understand the following Table in which the Planetary hours are written, it must be noted

that each row is for each day, and that the top of each row which is in figures and begins with eight represents the hours of Sunrise and Sunset, and that the row beneath which begins with one is the hour from midnight until the next, and that which is shaded signifies nocturnal Night-time hours. For example, if you wished to operate on a Sunday at the hour of the Sun, it would be necessary to begin at six o'clock from midnight, which is the first hour of the Sun's rising, just as it is marked; this should serve as an example for all the others.
