The quadrature is the noblest path to completion and most favorable for discovering the subtlety of the square machine; and it is performed in this manner: from 7 and 6 is made 13; from 6 and 5 is made 11; from 5 and 8 is made 13; and so with the others, taking a number 3 times, as 6 is taken with 7 and then with 3, and 5 with 8 and with 4, and so on to infinity so long as you have numbers; and if the numbers come to form two columns, from this results the Base.
