The Fifth Since no one has previously advanced toward this Presence of such magnificent stature, be contemplative. There is no remembrance of a rememberer, nor the "how" of one who experiences unveiling, nor the passing thought of a created being that can encompass it. I have only plunged into this surging sea after seeking divine guidance Arabic: istikhara regarding what has been permitted to me in revealing what lies on its horizons. I do not know if I am looking at the jewels of its islands and shores in a way that suits the understandings of those living in this current age. Nevertheless, I have carved into its heart; for whoever ventures into revealing a secret for which he was not granted permission is disciplined in a manner befitting the offense. We ask the Great God for His concealment and His mercy.
Its remembrance is: "My Lord, admit me into the gardens of Your Names through Your gate—
Inside
—the private gate Arabic: al-khass which is not veiled by light, nor by darkness, nor by anything before it, nor by anything after it. Release the hand of my faculties to attain its direction, and inspire my inner reality Arabic: al-hammiyya with its truth. Say: 'My support is from Him,' so that I may be by You within it, and be within it by You, rejoicing in it from You, and in You from it. Indeed, You are the Subtle, the Affectionate, the Compassionate, the Merciful."
The specific property Arabic: khassiyya; refers to the occult or spiritual efficacy of the prayer of this remembrance is that it hastens joys, dispels sorrows, makes one's time pleasant, and clears away afflictions. Whatever actions are organized within this section, observe them and be gratified. Every verse of the Quran that mentions bliss and the maidens of paradise Arabic: hur is appropriate for this remembrance. Understand my prayer: recite it forty times during this hour in a state of ritual purity, facing the direction of prayer Arabic: qibla, according to this mentioned number, and with a noble scent incense. One must be alone during it. Every specific property has a limit it does not exceed, nor does it pass to a practitioner of a different remembrance. For the remembrance contains the Name suited to the hour, perfectly ordered within it, and the supplication is a garment that surrounds it in the physical realm Arabic: mulk and the spiritual realm Arabic: malakut. "And you will never find in the way of God any change."
