An engraved heraldic bookplate. It features a central shield divided into several sections, including a smaller central shield showing a lion standing on its hind legs. The shield is supported on either side by two robed angels. Above the shield sits a barred helmet with decorative leaf-like patterns, topped with a crest showing the head of a Moor in profile. Below the shield, a ribbon scroll bears the Latin motto "QUI CONDUCIT", which translates to "He who leads" or "He who guides". At the bottom of the plate, in very small print, is the engraver's name.
