In the day and hour of Mars Tuesday, with the Moon waxing at the crescent, and at the first hour of the day—which is a quarter of an hour before sunrise—you shall prepare a piece of virgin parchment parchment made from the skin of an animal that has not reached maturity. This parchment shall contain all the characters magical symbols or sigils and the invocations of the spirits which you wish to call forth.
For example, on the said day and hour, you will tie a thread spun by a virgin girl to the little finger of the hand (which is the finger associated with Mercury). Pierce the finger with the lancet of the Art a ritual knife used in magic to draw blood. With this blood, you will form the character of Scirlin, as it is shown at the beginning of this book. Then write your invocation, which is as follows:
HELON + TAUL + VARF + PAN + HEON + HOMONOREUM + CLEMIALH + SERUGEATH + AGLA A Hebrew acronym for "Atah Gibor Le-olam Adonai," meaning "You, O Lord, are mighty forever" + TETRAGRAMMATON The four-letter Hebrew name of God, YHWH + CASOLY.
You must write the first letter of your name where the letter A is located [in the sign and character of Scirlin], and the first letter of your surname where the letter D is located. The spirit Aglassis, whose character this is, is very powerful in serving you and will grant you power over the other spirits.
Draw the character of the specific spirit you desire to appear above this, and burn incense in his honor. Then perform the conjuration addressed to the spirit you wish to summon, and burn incense in his honor.
