Because a certain Razias, one of the elders from Jerusalem, was reported to Nicanor as a friend original: "Razias ex senioribꝰ". Razias was a Jewish elder who committed suicide rather than fall into the hands of Nicanor, as recounted in 2 Maccabees 14.. Since these things were constructed by the meddler: he brought both the yoke and the wine; these things which they contain from the Jews; nothing is burned except by fire. But because he sought peace: in what way he might find it; he delighted in the voice; which before the work in the ambushes. and so forth.
