Preface

God is a God of order, and in all his effects, arrangements, works, and creatures lies a testimony of his simple, immutable laws.

In the kingdom of nature, He is exactly the same as He is in the kingdom of spirits. Everywhere there is analogy, relation, proportion, and connection; and if our eye is single A reference to Matthew 6:22, implying a focused or pure spiritual perception—if our understanding is opened in His light, and we seek Him with earnestness and faithfulness, then we find Him in heaven as well as on earth through all gradations of His revelations, as the very same, always equal to Himself in order, power, wisdom, goodness, and love.

Every thing in nature is an image of a thing of a higher order, and thus one points to another up the great chain into the spirit-realm.
