Common Bread.

Bread strengthens and supports the heart of man. Psalm 103:15. Modern Bibles usually list this as Psalm 104:15.

Bread is brought forth from the earth by the blessing of God. Psalm 104.

Heavenly Bread.

Bread comes out of the earth, and what is under it is turned into something like fire. Job 28. original: "Iohan, 28." This appears to be a scribal error in the original Latin for Job 28:5.

The bread of the heavens satisfied them. Psalm 105.

He gave the bread of the mighty, or of angels—that is, grain from heaven—to be eaten. Psalm 78.

Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word proceeding from the mouth of God. Matthew 4.
