The outer border consists of an OuroborosAn ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail, representing the eternal cycle of renewal or the unity of all things.—a serpent biting its own tail. Inside the circle is an ornate cartouche or scrollwork frame topped with a winged head. Inscribed within the central shield is the moral maxim: "WHAT YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE DONE TO YOU, DO NOT DO TO ANOTHER" original: "QVOD TIBI FIERI NON VIS, ALTERI NE FECERIS".
