est doubt existed as to whether the word used by the author original: "Auctore" could be rendered in German original: "teutsch" in its proper sense or with its full emphasis, we have retained the original word. In such cases, we have either added our thoughts in smaller letters between two brackets, or reserved the explanation for a glossary original: "Register" specially prepared for this purpose. In this glossary, for the sake of brevity, many words have been omitted that occur frequently in common life and are easily understood, or are already known from the works of Jacob Böhme original: "Jac. Böhmen" and the Practical Theosophy original: "Theosophia practica," a major work by Johann Georg Gichtel, a follower of Böhme. Similarly, we have been able to be much briefer in the explanation of theosophical expressions, because these can be found explained more completely and more deeply according to the spirit in the glossary of the complete works of J. B. Jacob Böhme from the year 1730, to which the reader is here referred.
