the list of the remaining original: reliquorum; the first syllable "re-" appeared at the end of the previous page authors, of whom I have included about seventy collected here. At the same time, I also applied myself to this: that I might note not only the exact time of birth original: nativitas and death original: obitus for all of them, as far as was possible, but also that I might indicate on this occasion where they originated, where they lived, what they did or what they taught, and finally where they ended their lives.
Furthermore, I have brought to light the titles of many books, especially manuscripts original: manuscriptorum; hand-written documents not yet printed (many of which I happened to see), and have restored the credit due to their authors. I have also claimed this credit for those who, out of modesty, had published their writings anonymously original: suppresso nomine; literally "with the name suppressed".
Among other things which I thought would be useful for expanding this volume original: codicem is this: that I have also translated into Latin original: Latinitate etiam donaverim; literally "endowed with Latinity" all the titles of books that were written in other languages.
