Chemical Library

An engraved bookplate is pasted onto a sheet of marbled paper with a scalloped pattern of red, blue, and yellow. The marbled paper is set within a dark, blind-tooled leather border. At the top of the bookplate is a flowing ribbon banner containing a Latin motto. Below the banner is a heraldic crest featuring a dragon head with a protruding tongue, emerging from a floral coronet. The central element of the plate is an Ouroboros, a serpent biting its own tail, forming a circle around a shaded eight-pointed star. At the bottom, the owner name is printed in a bold blackletter typeface.
