An allegorical engraved frontispiece for a book. In the center, two female figures in classical dress walk together upon a stone platform. The figure on the left holds a palm branch and rests her hand on the shoulder of her companion. Above them, a dove descends from dark, swirling clouds, surrounded by a radiant burst of light. In the background, to the right, is a classical temple with a portico and columns. To the left, tall cypress-like trees are visible. In the foreground, three cherubs are depicted: one sits on a stone block on the left reading a book, while two others on the right appear to be playing. On the far left, a stone plinth serves as a frame for the main title text. The artist's signature is located near the bottom left, above the imprint.
