When the little book, A Briefer Outline of Peace-making Peace-making Theology: "Theologia Pacifica," a branch of 17th-century divinity focused on finding common ground between warring Christian denominations. and Mystical Theology and its Authors, was first published, having been translated into Latin from my original French work by a friend, some people—and even the bookseller original: "Bibliopola" himself—were displeased that my name had not been included on the title page. As for why they desired this so much, they must have their own reasons. However, the reasons for omitting my name were not so great that I could not easily agree to their wish; therefore, I have not only added my name, but also many annotations that were missing when the book first appeared. Indeed, beyond those things which I added to the Letter on Mystical Authors, where in the Second Volume on Learning (of the most recent edition in quarto Quarto refers to the size of the book, made by folding a full sheet of paper twice to create four leaves.)...
