Poems for the Consideration of Our Age

An alchemical emblem printed in color. The central motif is an oval with a blue background. At the top of the oval is a green Ouroboros, which is a snake devouring its own tail. Inside the oval, a white pelican is depicted in its piety. It pecks its breast to feed its young with its blood while resting upon a silver crescent moon. Rays of light descend from the top of the oval onto the pelican. Below the crescent moon is a white cubic stone marked with a black X-shaped cross and three red roses. The entire oval is encircled by a golden border. This border contains the Latin inscription for Hermetic Philosophy in capitalized letters. In the top left corner of the pasted label is a handwritten letter R in pencil or ink.
