ed. *) Weismann Eberhard Rudolph Weismann (1646–1710) was a prominent theologian and professor at Tübingen gave excerpts from his life and lamented that the edition of his writings, upon which Abbot Zeller Andreas Adam Zeller (1659–1711), a scholar who attempted to compile Andreä’s works had worked with great care, had not come to fruition. **) In the controversy concerning the Rosicrucians, he was mentioned here and there, on both sides of the argument; and I know that, for this very reason, in more recent times many a sensible person has become curious to get to know this remarkable man through his own writings. Apart from that, however—and what I myself may have scattered here and there—he has remained as good as unknown to our modern reading public, which hardly bothers itself with Latin writings.
