HERMETIC PHILOSOPHY

A circular emblem is centered on a white paper insert. The emblem is bordered by a white ring containing the inscription "HERMETIC PHILOSOPHY" in gold or yellow lettering. Inside the border is a blue oval field with golden rays of light emanating from the top. A white pelican is depicted in the "piety" pose—a traditional alchemical and Christian symbol where the mother bird pecks her own breast to nourish her young with her blood—standing upon a white crescent moon. Below the crescent moon is a square shield or box divided into four quadrants, each containing a red rose.
