...glories of all peoples, the primary source of all types of Institutions established systems of laws or customs, the very model of the Laws that direct the Universe and which constitute all Beings entities or existing things. This is to say, they serve as the basis for everything that exists and for everything that is performed, whether in man and by the hand of man, or outside of man and independently of his will. Consequently, outside of these Principles, there can be no true Science systematized knowledge or wisdom.
From this, the reader will even more easily understand why we see among men a universal variety of Dogmas authoritative doctrines and Systems philosophical frameworks. He will see why we perceive this innumerable multitude of Philosophical, Political, and Religious Sects competing groups or schools of thought, each of which agrees as little with itself as it does with all the other sects. Despite the efforts that the leaders of these different sects make every day to form a stable doctrine on the most important points, and to reconcile particular opinions, they can never succeed.
