I believe I am a Freemason; not so much because I was admitted by older Masons in a lawful lodge original: "gesetzlichen Loge" — This refers to a lodge operating under an official charter or "constitution." Falk is contrasting formal, legalistic membership with intellectual and spiritual insight., but because I perceive and recognize what and why Freemasonry is, when and where it has been, and how and through what it is promoted or hindered.
