The kind-hearted reader is furthermore reminded that this little treatise original: "tractätlein" was divided on folio 14 into three chapters or sections original: "capita oder membra". However, because the first and third were of almost the same nature, and the second section is the truly principal part, this section has been placed on folio 17 immediately after the introduction. The first and third sections, however, have been gathered together afterward under a separate numbering of pages and signatures buchstaben: literally "letters," referring to the printer's signatures used to mark gatherings of pages for binding.
