A woodcut printer’s device depicts an old man standing next to an elm tree entwined with a grapevine. A banner entwined in the branches of the tree bears the motto "Not alone" original: "NON SOLUS". This emblem was the famous mark of the Elzevir family, renowned Dutch printers known for their high-quality scholarly editions in the seventeenth century.
