Just as the manuscripts which have been entrusted to us to be made known through printing also contain many other letters written by other no less enlightened persons, which also deal with these same paths and had likewise not yet been made public through printing, it was believed right to publish these letters together with Mr. Bertot’s writings. This is done for the comfort and benefit of those who are so blessed and are drawn by grace to faithfully run toward the death of their selfhood a central mystical concept of "dying to the self" to allow God to act within the soul, and through such a death strive for pure union and the enjoyment of GOD even in this life.
