The front cover of an antique book is bound in brown mottled leather leather treated with acid or dye to create a speckled or blotchy pattern. The leather displays significant aging, with a dark, textured patina and visible wear along the edges and corners. On the left, the spine features raised bands horizontal ridges on the spine created by the cords used to sew the book's sections together. A small, rectangular red leather label is attached to the upper section of the spine. This label contains fragmentary and illegible gold-stamped lettering.
