An engraved heraldic bookplate sits centered on a rectangular sheet of paper. This paper is pasted onto a surface with a marbled paper border in swirling patterns of red, yellow, and blue. The bookplate depicts a coat of arms with two canine supporters, which are possibly hounds or wolves. These animals stand upright and face each other as if howling. Between them is a shield with a stippled field. The shield is marked with a diagonal band containing a musical staff with four notes. At the bottom, a decorative scroll carries a Latin motto.
