When a person finds a deeply hidden will within themselves, which would gladly turn to God’s grace if only they could, let them know that this very Will is that embodied Word of God, spoken in Paradise after the sins were committed: that the God JEHOVAH, as the Father, still draws him to Christ. For in our own self-nature original: "eigenheid," a term often used in mystical literature to describe the fallen, ego-driven state of humanity apart from God, we no longer have any will toward obedience.
But this same drawing of the Father, as that embodied, spoken grace, draws all people, even the most godless, provided they are not entirely a thistle a biblical metaphor for a heart that is prickly, stubborn, and bears no fruit, and are willing to pause for a moment from their false activities to allow the drawing to work.
Thus, no person has cause to doubt God’s grace, if they find within themselves a desire to be converted original: "bekeeren," meaning to turn around or return to God even once.
Let that person not delay for a single moment more, as it is written: Today, when you hear the voice of the Lord, do not harden your hearts. A reference to Psalm 95:7-8 and Hebrews 3:15
For that desire to eventually be converted is God’s voice within the human being—which the Devil, with his introduced images original: "ingevoerde Beelden," referring to worldly distractions, fantasies, or idols that the mind prioritizes over spiritual truth, covers up and delays, so that it is pushed forward from one day and one year to the next—
