...the history of heretics has been presented in all its particulars, even the smallest details; I do not believe the accounts of religious errors and heresies in those large volumes appear at all the same as they were initially drafted in this small book.
I felt it necessary to mention this here as a reminder, so that no one assumes they will find in the present work merely a brief extract of what is more extensively detailed in those two folio volumes Large, prestigious books printed on full-sized sheets of paper; the author refers here to his massive two-volume Impartial History of the Church and Heretics.. Rather, this book is primarily composed for those who desire a general and summary understanding of all church affairs, especially for students who love such knowledge, and most of all for the youth. The history of heretics, however, encompasses countless other subjects and assumes original Latin: "præsupponiret" that the reader already possesses some chronological understanding original Latin: "connexion" of historical eras and events in their proper sequence.
Moreover, one finds here a sufficient, thorough, and clear introduction to the history of the Old Testament, which is not to be found elsewhere. Thus, one can easily see once more that both books belong almost inseparably together, and that each may suitably compensate for the other’s omissions.
