It has already been several years since this treatiseoriginal: "Tractaet"; a formal written work dealing systematically with a specific subject. first appeared in Dutch, but not in its current state; for the author has since revised it and improved and expanded it with many things that seemed to be lacking for its completion.
Although he has given it a new title or name, he nevertheless wished to retain the old one, since the one could serve to explain the other, and both coming together might provide a better understanding of what the content and the purpose of the treatise is.
Thus, both these titles show, when examined, that the intent is only to present what belongs to true Christianity, and to point out the way to become true Christians. Therefore it is called a Short Summary of True Christianity, and a Collection of Christian Fundamental Principles, which not only teaches how to know it, but through a godly and Christian...
