The Doctrine of the Most Holy Trinity

A circular emblem or bookplate is centered on an inset white card. The central oval shows a white pelican in its piety (a traditional symbol of self-sacrifice where a mother pelican feeds her young with her own blood) feeding three chicks in a nest. Above the bird is a radiant golden sun in a blue sky. Below the nest sits a white cube featuring a black saltire (an X-shaped cross) with a red rose in each of the four quadrants. This central oval is framed by a green Ouroboros (a serpent consuming its own tail, representing eternity and the cyclical nature of the universe). Surrounding the serpent, the text HERMETIC PHILOSOPHY is printed in golden capital letters in a circular arrangement.
