A rectangular white card is pasted onto the center of the page. In the upper left corner of the card is a handwritten letter M. Centered on the card is an oval emblem with a green border. It contains the inscription Hermetic Philosophy original: "PHILOSOPHIA HERMETICA". The interior of the emblem features a blue background. In the center, a white pelican feeds three chicks with blood from its breast. This symbol is known as a pelican in its piety and represents self-sacrifice or the nurturing of the soul. The bird is perched on a silver crescent moon. Below this is a white cubic stone, a symbol of stability and the perfected work. It is decorated with four red roses arranged in a diamond pattern, which is a common Rosicrucian motif. Above the pelican, a golden sun radiates light. It is partially enclosed by an Ouroboros, a green serpent biting its own tail that symbolizes eternity and the unity of the universe.
