The doctrine of the emanation emanation: the philosophical and mystical concept that all reality "flows out" from a single divine source of all things from God, as it is found in the oldest writings of the Kabbalists, is all the more remarkable to the researcher of philosophical history because it stems from a system in which one must look, in all probability, for the original: "Aborigines" primal foundations or original concepts of mankind regarding God and the origin of all things.

Since this doctrine, taken generally, is the true key to the oldest philosophy; those who know and love philosophical antiquity must be not a little concerned that its history, which presents no small difficulties, always
