1. No one will easily be able to disparage rumors of this
kind entirely as far as their existence is concerned, if
they were to see the gathering of unknown men
at Frankfurt original: Françof., an abbreviation for Frankfurt at B. likely referring to a specific meeting place or person, such as the publisher Johann Bringer who brought letters and
called people away: they even brought money at times,
and what might seem a wonder, at that time and
for that purpose, where otherwise money would
