...separation or partition of the so-called elements from the first beginning, Schamajim Original Hebrew: Shamayim, meaning "the heavens.", was accomplished. That all things—as mentioned shortly before—have their life, essence, and preservation from Schamajim is proven by the 11th verse of the third day’s work [of Creation]. There, by Divine command and through the power of this "fiery water" (called by the most ancient philosophers the universal Mercury In alchemy, the "Universal Mercury" or Mercurius Mundi is the fundamental animating spirit or "life force" of the universe.), the earth brought forth all kinds of grass, herbs, and fruitful trees, etc., even before the sun, moon, or any stars were created. This was for the food and nourishment of all living creatures that were only to be created on the 5th and 6th days; for the almighty GOD demonstrated His wise order in this: that the living creatures He yet intended to create might simultaneously find nourishment and sustenance.
On the 4th day, the sun, moon, and all stars were finally created as the proper distributors in the household of this great world, to communicate this divine power, life, and outflow of Schamajim to every creature according to its necessary requirements. Now the sun began, with full force through its Atoms Original: Atomos. In this context, it refers to the smallest physical particles or emanations of light and heat.—which were nothing but pure fire—united with the watery atoms of the ☽ The alchemical symbol for the Moon., to impregnate the air. The air then further communicates this heavenly seed continuously to the sea, which is filled with it to this very hour—and not the sea alone, but the entire globe of the earth. This is proven first not only by the earth-salt found everywhere, but also by the dew, frost, rain, and snow, which are all filled with it. From this general treasure-chest, the sea, it is further led and guided through subterranean passages and crevices through the whole earth, for the preservation and nourishment of all creatures. It has been proven above that Schamajim is a composite name, from Aesch △ Original Hebrew: Esh (Fire). The triangle is the alchemical symbol for the element of Fire., and Majim ▽ Original Hebrew: Mayim (Water). The inverted triangle is the alchemical symbol for the element of Water., with which it remains.
Now the sun is a coarser part of Aesch, the heavenly fire, just as the moon and all other stars are of Majim, the heavenly water. Into these bodies Original Latin: Corpora., the first beginning, Schamajim, still flows unceasingly; thus they partake constantly of the divine power and outflow (from the great river of wonders that springs forth in Eden—namely, from the great sea of the gentle, still divine essence, which waters the garden of wonders or Paradise, known to very few men). They sink this power, in the manner just mentioned, through their atoms united in the △ Fire. into the sea, from whence it is led through the whole earth for the fertility and preservation of all creatures.
§. 7. No man whom God the Lord has enlightened will deny that such influence of the sun, moon, and all stars is Salt—namely, fire and water, or Schamajim (called by the philosophers the universal ☿ The alchemical symbol for Mercury.). For firstly, it is now entirely undeniable that the closer the sea is to the Ecliptic Original Latin: Ecliptica. The circular path of the Sun across the sky; the author is suggesting that seas closer to the equator are saltier due to direct solar influence.,
