and essential original Latin: Essentiale aliquid, which corporalizes becomes a physical body itself in the Water $\nabla$ and becomes physical, as was mentioned above in Letter r. §. 13. Just as a certain inexpensive instrument is known to us, through which we—by means of a metallic concave mirror original Latin: Speculi concavi—can concentrate the power or the Moon’s forces or outpourings (in which the outpourings of all the stars original Latin: Astrorum effluvia are concentrated) and represent them as a Water $\nabla$.

This process holds more secrets than the slovenly cooks term: "Sudelköche" — a derogatory term for amateur or "kitchen" alchemists who lacked theoretical understanding imagine, for by this means all Lunar diseases can be cured from the root original Latin: radicitus. Furthermore, it is also clearly proven herewith that Darkness, or the Cold Night, is likewise something substantial, as was said in Letter l. §. 12. And although this Water $\nabla$ is ethereal, one can nevertheless clearly demonstrate through it what was just mentioned: namely, that a sand- and stone-producing power is hidden in all waters. However, let no one imagine that they can immediately replicate what is told here to the Wise; truly it is not so, for these things require washed hands and the guidance of Almighty God, which I believe does not happen to everyone without a great longing for the source of the main stream in Eden.

Thus, it is abundantly and sufficiently proven and demonstrated, as was said from §. 14 to Letter t., that all Water $\nabla$—whichever one might take, none excepted—possesses within itself a sand- and stone-making power.

§. 15. Now we also wish to prove that in virgin Water original Latin: virginea $\nabla$, the Earth generated from the first Element original Latin: primo Elemento—namely, the shifting sand term: "Triebsand" — here referring to a primordial, fine sand thought to be the first solid matter, region E. F. see Universal Schema Letter m. §. 12.—is the so-called Foundation-Base term: "Grund-Veste" of this inhabited soil, of which it is said in Psalm 24 v. 2: Founded upon the seas, and established upon the floods, etc. Firstly, it is known to all the world that one cannot or may not dig deeper in any place than until reaching the aforementioned shifting sand. Those who have looked a little beyond their mother-borders know abundantly well that in Brabant A historical region in the Low Countries, modern-day Belgium and the Netherlands and similar landscapes, one can dig at most no deeper than 4, 5, to 6 feet before coming upon the aforementioned foundation of this our earth, namely the shifting sand. Likewise, in other places, no well or shaft in the mountains may be sunk deeper, nor a mountain dug through more deeply, than until the aforementioned shifting sand. Furthermore, it is abundantly known that in the aforementioned Netherlands provinces, in various places, very high church towers are found built solely upon this shifting sand, without any other foundation, which have nonetheless stood for several centuries original Latin: Secula without any swaying or sinking. Namely, they lay upon the said bare shifting sand a layer of such wood or strong planks that hold up well in water $\nabla$ and do not rot, and upon this wooden base, they build their intended structure without any other fuss. It should be well observed, however, that one must not dig any wells, ponds, etc., or throw out the shifting sand in hopes of going deeper, for several hundred or even a thousand paces around such buildings; otherwise, the said buildings will unfailingly lean and sink toward that side, for the reason original Latin: Ratio that their ground—namely the shifting sand—was taken away from that side. Now, this method of building cannot be practiced original: practiciren on any other sand, earth, or marsh; rather, on those, because they are swampy, a foundation must be rammed with long piles and gratings fastened, or helped in another way. The reason original Latin: Ratio for the shifting sand's firmness and immovable ground consists in this: because Water $\nabla$ and shifting sand, as mentioned and proven shortly before, are very closely related, in that the latter is a birth of the former. Thus, they suffer no tearing apart or pressing down of bodies of equal and unequal quality; they may not pass through one another unless one or both are made spiritual. Therefore, bodies of the same quality always maintain one position and measure, or one does not outweigh the other according to force and weight original Latin: secundum vim & pondus in the slightest. And thus, it is sufficiently proven what was said at the beginning of this section. Namely, that just as these individual buildings, towers, etc., stand firm and entirely immovable upon this foundation or shifting sand, so and in exactly the same way all mountains and rocks, and the entire inhabited surface of the earth, stand upon this very same foundation or shifting sand, as upon their root from which they were all generated. the perceptive man can perceive and clearly see in all mountains and rocks, where the shifting sand is often found quite high up under the topmost surface of the earth, in clay or other earth, entirely dry and, as it were, snow-white; likewise in the veins of the whole rock-mass, where it shows itself here and there in the very firm stone, like marrow in the bones. Furthermore, daily experience teaches us (as further proof of what was already cited above from §. 14 to Letter t.) that upon the stone cliffs and mountains, the Water $\nabla$ which rises incessantly from Region E. F. see Letter m. §. 12. Universal Schema, constantly changes into different kinds of sand and stone, and this can be perfectly seen in various large stone quarries. Indeed, who does not know that both in the Harz A mountain range in northern Germany famous for mining and folklore and other various places in Europe, there are fearsome caves in which a Water $\nabla$ constantly drips, which coagulates original: coaguliret in those very same caves into a wonderful stone,

resembling large pillars and other wondrous shapes, even into the skeletons original Latin: sceletis of fierce animals and men of terrifying and diverse size, which have been formed and fashioned by the Spirit of the Air from these waters, according to the forms and Ideas with which the entire air is impregnated original Latin: imprægniret.
