THE GROUND PLAN Ground Plan original: "Ichnographia." From the Greek roots for "footprint" and "writing," this architectural term refers to a horizontal section or floor plan showing the proportions of a building.

We call the Temple of Wisdom a BOOK, in which all things that ever are, will be, or have been are offered for contemplation to Mankind—as a Creature made to contemplate the Works of its Creator. It is offered with that purpose, and with the means and order arranged toward that end, so that by the help of all those things, he may be led and guided to Him, from whom, through whom, and in whom all things exist: GOD, and to eternal BLESSEDNESS in Him.

II. For this, ultimately, is what it means TO BE WISE: to understand and to look toward one’s final end original: "intelligere & providere novissima sua." While "novissima" can mean "the newest things," in this theological context it refers to the "Last Things"—the ultimate destiny and purpose of a human life. (as God speaks in Deuteronomy 32:29): lest Mankind wander from its goal, Blessedness, for the enjoyment of which with its founder original: "conditore."
