They succeeded in reaching these places, thanks to the numerous Armies that all the Christian Princes had sent, and who had taken the name of Croisés Crusaders of the Guerre Sainte Holy War. However, the considerable losses they suffered forced them to live and remain mixed among this Sect. This caused daily disputes which ended tragically for the faithful Crusaders. The fury of these barbarians was even carried so far that, at the mere name of Christian, they massacred all those who made it their happiness.
This was what determined Godefroi de Bouillon Godfrey of Bouillon (c. 1060–1100), a leader of the First Crusade and the first ruler of the Kingdom of Jerusalem, their Leader, toward the end of the eleventh century The OCR text says "troisieme siecle" (third century), but this is a historical error in the original text; Godfrey lived in the eleventh century, to hide and cover the mysteries of Religion under the figures which are traced in the attached Prints, where care has been taken...
